Tim Roth and Frank Langella Join GRACE OF MONACO, Tobey Maguire to Produce and Star in Z FOR ZACHARIA and Dale Dickey Joins IRON MAN 3
Here's another casting round up for you: Tim Roth (The Incredible Hulk) and Frank Langella (Robot & Frank) have both landed roles in Grace of Monaco, Olivier Dahan's picture which stars Nicole Kidman as Grace Kelly. Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man) is set to produce and star in Z for Zacharia, a post-apocalyptic drama from director Craig Zobel (Compliance). Dale Dickey (True Blood) has been cast in writer/director Shane Black's Iron Man 3, starring Robert Downey Jr. Hit the jump for all the details. Variety reports that Grace of Monaco will land Roth as Prince Rainier III, who wedded the American actress, Grace Kelly in 1956. The picture will center five years into their marriage, when the retired Oscar-winning actress-turned-monarch helps the young prince rescue Monaco from a dire tax situation imposed by France's Charles de Gaulle. Langella also stars as Father Tucker, the priest who facilitated the meeting of Rainier III and Kelly, and who continues on into their marriage as an advisor.... - mediamage

SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN Sequel Going Foward Without Kristen Stewart, Plus Possible Future Projects for Director Rupert Sanders
Universal has decided to go ahead with their sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman with a lot less Snow White (Kristen Stewart) and a lot more Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth). With the departure of screenwriter David Koepp, the studio is now envisioning more of a spin-off with Hemsworth leading the charge. There is also no confirmation one way or the other on whether director Rupert Sanders will return. Though we try to stay out of the gossip end of this business, the well-publicized affair between Stewart and the married Sanders would make it awkward at best for a reunion. The studio declined to comment on that front. Hit the jump for more on this developing story. THR reports that Koepp has been compensated as per his contract, since he was intended to stay on to pen the sequel. Universal seemed gung-ho to move ahead with the sequel as of two months ago, so perhaps the recent bad press surrounding Stewart and Sanders gave the studio pause. Joss Whedon Asks People to Boycott Mike Birbiglia's Excellent Film SLEEPWALK WITH ME
Mike Birbiglia's superb film Sleepwalk with Me is due to hit theaters on August 24th, and I highly encourage you to check it out. It was one of the best flicks I saw at the SXSW Film Festival, and the movie does a wonderful job of giving you a glimpse into the world of stand-up comedy, but also explores the larger picture of what we have to sacrifice in the pursuit of perfecting our art. It's also quite moving and painfully funny, and I can't wait to see it again. But Joss Whedon doesn't want anyone to see it at all. The Avengers is only on 500 screens, and Sleepwalk with Me is poised to take 80 of them. This will not stand, and Whedon has provided a humorous video about why you should avoid Birbiglia's movie.
